I am from canada and my cousin is from france. She can speak no english and I can speak no french. I have found that translators such as babel fish leave us guessing as to what the other has said. Online translators don't work because translation is about context, for example the word 'fly', it could mean the insect or the verb like when you're on a plane. A computer just doesn't know and those words in French are very different thus resulting in bizarre translations.
