Im doing a project and not sure if i wrote it correctly , like the grammar ?

or (joindre l'armé)

I don't see any misspellings or something like that.Help with french to english translation ?

Join the army would be "s'engager dans l'armée", if that's what you're trying to say. The verb adhérer requires the preposition à -- adhérer à quelque chose. But that implies "approving" of it.
I didn't understand these words at first, but I think you mean:

"Mieux vaut s'engager dans l'armée qu'avoir honte."


You say s'engager dans l'armée, join the army.
