Hi there! I need a translation for French class, and I cannot find it anywhere! What holiday is le Novel An? And NO, I do not mean le Nouvel An, I know that that is the new years, but apparently le Novel An is a holiday as well... I just don't know which one! There is indeed a French word 'novel' which means the same as 'novel' in English. But it doesn't make sense with 'an'. Your teacher is not only French, she is human, and therefore prone to the errors that humans are bound to make. Errare humanum est. Cut her some slack.
Probably someone typed it up for her, made the mistake, and she corrected it but forgot to take out the wrong version.

There is no such French holiday as "the Novel An".
